Going beyond our limits
The Fédération Cynologique Internationale is a truly global organisation and, as
well as working towards a collective goal, it operates as a body where people can
meet with the shared aim of exchanging ideas and experiences but without paying
the slightest attention to their cultural, geographical, political or religious
differences. We come together under the banner of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale
to protect all dogs equally, no matter where they come from or where on Earth they
live.

FCI President visits The Malaysian Kennel Association
Outgoing MKA President (2012-2014) Larry Yuen receiving the FCI Full Member Certificate from FCI President Rafael de Santiago.
It was a privilege and honour for The Malaysian Kennel Association (MKA) to have
our FCI President Mr Rafael de Santiago, officiate the opening of our newly renovated
offices on 20th January, 2014. This is the first time that any board member of the
FCI has visited the MKA in its 89 year history. MKA, the oldest kennel club in Asia,
became a full member of the FCI at the General Assembly in Budapest in May 2013.
Our FCI President took time during his hectic Asian tour, to stop over and visit
Malaysia and spend time with the MKA Board members, as well as to judge at an All
Breeds show organised by the MKA. As a new FCI member, the Board members of the
MKA were delighted to be able to spend time with our President discussing various
issues pertaining to our new full FCI membership.
Our FCI President also took time to meet with the 12 permanent staff members of
the MKA during his tour of the MKA building in Kuala Lumpur.

The MKA is very grateful to our FCI President for taking the time to visit us and
to get to know the board and staff. This visit will certainly be a very historic
milestone in the history of the MKA. Many thanks once again to FCI President Mr
Rafael de Santiago for his visit to our country and club.
